Football is finally back and the Dallas Cowboys have the pleasure of playing in the 2021 Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. Where they will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The game is set for Thursday, August 5, and will be our first taste of the 2021 roster. Although most of the starters are not expected to play much in the game, if at all.
Without further ado, here is what you should watch for in the Hall of Fame game.
#1. Airplane Mode
According to DallasCowboys.com, rookie cornerback Kelvin Joseph said after a recent practice that the Cowboys secondary should be referred to as …
“We’re going to fly around. No fly zone. We’re going to call it ‘airplane mode.’”
The secondary has had success so far in training camp but I would pump the brakes on giving them any nickname. But, if Joseph is serious about what he says and the secondary has a breakout year that would be great news for the team.
I am excited to see Joseph in his first taste of NFL action this Thursday if he does play in the game. Also, Nahshon Wright who has shown flashes in the first week of training camp should be on the field for his NFL preseason debut.
You can argue the secondary will be the most important unit on the Cowboys this season. If they are able to enter “Airplane Mode” many wins will follow in Dallas.
