Chicago Bears hire former Oregon State assistant Michael Pitre as new running backs coach

1 min read

Pitre arrived at Oregon State after spending one year with the Kansas City Chiefs as a member of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program, his second stint in the NFL after spending the 2009 season as a scouting intern for the New England Patriots. However, 2021 will mark Pitre’s first full season as an NFL coach.

Pitre was a three-year starting fullback at UCLA and served as one of the Bruins’ captains in 2006. His coaching experience also includes working as a graduate assistant at the University of Colorado, where he worked with Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay, as well as serving as the running backs coach at Montana State.
