Eagles roster: 5 players who could be on the hot seat as training camp nears

1 min read

The Philadelphia Eagles claimed running back Kerryon Johnson off of waivers from the Lions last month and the former Auburn star took a subsequent pay cut to land.

According to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Johnson went from a base salary and cap hit of $1,366,869 million for the 2021 season to the veteran’s minimum of $920K.

That money is not guaranteed and Johnson will likely need to beat out Jordan Howard for the Eagles power-back role.

The Eagles now have $8,266,322 in available cap space for 2021, according to the latest figures from the NFLPA.
