Seahawks did not use franchise or transition tag as deadline passes

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson can now scratch one of his acceptable, potential trade destinations off his list. On Monday, the Cowboys signed quarterback Dak Prescott to a four-year contract, keeping him the signal-caller in Dallas for the foreseeable future.

Prescott got himself a whopper of a deal worth up to $164 million, with $126 million guaranteed. He was also able to negotiate a no-trade clause and a no-tag provision.

With Prescott locked up in Dallas, Wilson’s teams of choice have been whittled down to Chicago, Las Vegas and New Orleans. That is, of course, assuming Seattle is willing to…
